Celebration Gone Bad As Heart-Attack Kills A Coach While Celebrating Team’s Victory


It was a tragedic ending as what is mean’t to be a full time celebration of victory was cut short,  as Egyptian second division manager collapsed and died after suffering from a first degree heart attack while celebrating his team’s last minute win.


The home team El-Magd SC were facing El-Zarqa on Thursday, Dec 2, and they were drawing the match,  when all of a sudden they managed to clinch a 1-0 victory ahead of the visiting club

Adham El-Selhadar,  the head coach of El Magd  witnessed as his team soar to victory against El-Zarqa in the 92nd minutes


It was all celebrations for the team as they progressed up to seventh in the table on 14 points.


As celebrations was on-going,  coach Adham El-Selhadar collapsed on the sidelines as players and staff ran over to check what had happened.


Coach Adham El-Selhadar was immediately attended to by medics before being taken to hospital, where he was confirmed dead. El-Selhadar had been a professional player in the 1990s, winning the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup before becoming a coach.
